Passover fun at Boomers & Parrot Jungle

n anticipation of the many locals and guests celebrating Passover and enjoying spring break in South Florida, Parrot Jungle Island in Miami and Boomers amusement park & arcades in Dania will offer value-packed, fun-filled package for children, teens and families. Rabbi Pinny Andrusier, Director of Chabad of SW Broward is organizing the two events.

I On Thursday, April 5 Parrot Jungle Island will host Family Adventure Day, offering a $5 discount on all admission. Guests can enjoy the new giant Hippo Slide plus shows and exhibits featuring exotic animals, unique reptiles and colorful birds.

On Friday, April 6 Chabad has arranged for Boomers to leave all video and arcade games on free play plus unlimited entry onto all rides including Hurricane Roller Coaster, the new Outlaw Karts on the Slick Track (16 years & up), new and improved Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, 5 miniature golf courses, batting cages, the 200-foot high Blender, Laser Tag and the climbing Rock Wall for only $30. All rides in Boomers’ new Ride Park and Kiddie Section featuring the giant Wave Rider Swing, Magic Tea Cups, Florida Frog Hopper and Caribbean Carousel will be included in the one-time entry cost.

All guests will require an entry band and other discounts will be available. For those wanting all rides and games but do not wish to ride the roller coaster, a $25 band will be on sale and a $12 entry band entitles you to just golf and games. All Passover bands for Boomers are valid all day but must be purchased before 2 pm on the day of the event. Due to daylight savings time Shabbat begins at 7:22 pm. Only redemption games offering prizes will require the purchase of tokens. There may be height, weight and age restrictions for some rides.

In adherence to the strict dietary laws of Passover, both Parrot Jungle and Boomers have agreed to allow Chabad to offer a Glatt Kosher BBQ and only specially marked and certified soda and refreshments to be sold. Jewish music will also fill the parks.Except for Thursday at Parrot Jungle and Friday at Boomers, Kosher for Passover food will not be available at either location during the other days of Passover.



Parrot Jungle Island is located off 395, between I-95 and South Beach. Boomer is located just off I-95 and Stirling Road in Dania Beach/Hollywood only 5 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale Int. Airport.Both events are open to the public. Parrot Jungle will open from 10am – 6pm and Boomers will open one hour earlier at 9 am.
