Grand Prix fundraiser at Greenfield Day School

Greenfield Day School is revving up for its first ever Greenfield Grand Prix,

a tournament-style Go-Cart race to take place Thursday, May 10 at Speed Demons Raceway in Florida City. Capitalizing on the huge popularity of NASCAR racing, the grand prix represents a new type of event in addition to the school’s ever popular golf tournament fundraiser.

"The golf tournament, where participants compete to raise money for the school, has become a staple--along with the silent auction—in school fundraising. We thought, why not do something that involves the entire family? And with car racing as America’s #1 spectator sport right now, a go-cart race was a natural choice," says Karen Berger, President of Greenfield School’s Board of Directors.

Children and adults will have the opportunity to race for prizes, participate in age appropriate activities in the Garage, and enjoy food and refreshments at the Pit Stop. Entry fees are $54 for Junior Stock Car Drivers, $72 for Adult Formula One Drivers, and $180 for VIPs, all of which include driving fees, food, entertainment, and a gift bag filled with race souvenirs. The Spectator fee is $36. The event is open to all. For information, or to become a sponsor, call 305-595-4868 or visit:www.greenfieldschool.com.
